This excellent, publication which is delivered to most Dartmouth and area households now has regular contributions from The Inn Theatre's Max Brandt. Intelligently written commentary on the local arts scene. Here's an extract from his latest.
A recent addition to the calendar is The Dart Drama Festival, which, in its relatively short existence, has gone from strength to strength. … I asked Avril Dowding, one of the founders and a driving force behind the festival. "So, why another drama festival, and one with no prizes or kudos at the end?" 'Daphne [Scorer], (another founder) and I were leaving a [Dartmouth] Players meeting in August 2006, and I said, 'There are a lot of these societies around and about, wouldn't it be great if we got them all together and had a little Festival?' The idea was to have a showcase of all the local talent, promote their work and let people know what was going on.'
