Claimed to be the 1980's finest and most enduring rock opera, “Chess” is set at the height of the Cold War, when, at the World Chess Championships, a game of chess was the “simplest and most complicated” way for the US and USSR to do battle against one another.
The complexity of the music led KATS to electronic instrumentation with enhanced lighting and on stage video.
