The Inn Theatre Company are Dartmouth based and well known for their excellent, annual, open air Shakespeare productions at Dartmouth Castle. This Year's contribution to the DDF is an excerpt from their massively successful summer production of As You Like It, directed by Malcolm MacIntosh.
As You Like It' is one of Shakespeare's lighter plays. It tells the story of two brothers who have quarrelled leading to one of them, Orlando, running away to the Forest of Arden. Here he finds the love of his life, Rosalind, who has also run away to the forest having been banished by her wicked uncle. However, Rosalind is posing as a man called Ganymede and he doesn't recognise her. Together with her dear cousin, Celia, she is living the life of a shepherd.

The extract begins with the clown Touchstone wooing (if that's the right word) the voluptuous Audrey, and being watched by the melancholy Jaques.
A DVD of this Year's Production is in the works - and selected elements of the video can be seen on YouTube.
